Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Mohamed Salem, is going on a business trip to Addis Ababa on the 18th - 19th of January on the top of a high-level MCIT delegation to Ethiopia. This comes in line with the trend towards accessing the African markets and opening channels of economic cooperation with African countries, especially the Nile Basin countries. Boosting cooperation between Egypt and Ethiopia and activating partnership initiatives with the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), are the main target of this visit. This could be achieved through activating the mechanisms of the Egyptian Initiative for the development of the information society in the African countries.
