Some Information

Detail Info

Edna Mall (Amharic: ኤድና ሞል) was an entertainment and shopping center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, established in 2008. It was owned by the Tekleberhan Ambaye Construction PLC (TACON). As an entertainment venue, the mall hosted Matti Cinema and Bob and Bongo's Fun Palace. In 2021, the Chinese firm East Steel PLC acquired Edna Mall with 810 million birr after TACON unable to repay a loan from the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and using the mall as collateral. Subsequently, a three times auction of the mall was held with 237 million birr bid.[1] In April 2022, the East Steel PLC announced to renovate the mall and gave warning to building tenants after several times deadlines offered by CBE.
